We currently have the following roles available:
Commercial Property Solicitor – full time
We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Property Solicitor with 3 years’ plus post qualification experience. You will be responsible for a broad caseload advising veterinary practices, farmers and SMEs. You will be required to take a lead role in the growth and success of the property department and will be responsible for all aspects of commercial conveyancing, including sales and purchases of properties and businesses, mortgages and re-financing, landlord and tenant matters including grant and assignment of leases, lease renewals, licenses to assign and to alter and SIPPS. You will need to have a clear understanding of commercial banking documents, such as debentures and personal guarantees. You must be willing to work closely with our other departments on joint projects, to participate in the growth and future development of the department and the firm, assisting in the build-up of the client base and marketing the firm’s services.
Private Client Solicitor – full time
We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor with at least 3 years’ post qualification experience. You will be required to take a lead role in the growth and success of the Private Client department and will be responsible for all aspects of private client work, including dealing with wills, trusts, administration of estates and trusts, tax matters, LPAs, Deputy Orders and estate planning. You will need to be able to undertake fee earning work independently, whilst developing our relationships with IFAs, accountants and clients.
You will need to ensure that CPD points are obtained and properly recorded, and ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and the SRA Code of Conduct. In addition, you will need to have good financial control with particular regard to cash flow control through accurate time-recording, collection of monies on account and billing procedures. You will be expected to comply with our policies in carrying out your duties and to assist other fee earners in achieving a smooth output of work.
