Commercial Property Solicitor

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Property Solicitor with 3 years’ plus post qualification experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad caseload advising veterinary practices, farmers and SMEs. They will be required to take a lead role in the growth and success of the property department and will be responsible for all aspects of commercial conveyancing including sales and purchases of properties and businesses, mortgages and re-financing, landlord and tenant matters including grant and assignment of leases, lease renewals, licenses to assign and to alter and SIPPS. The successful candidate will need to have a clear understanding of commercial banking documents, such as debentures and personal guarantees. We are looking for someone who is seeking career progression and is keen to lead and grow a department.

Job Type: Full-time Legal Secretary

We are seeking a full-time legal secretary who is focused on delivering the best client care and a professional service at all times. Our remuneration package is very competitive.

Previous secretarial experience is essential. The successful candidate will be required to provide daily secretarial support to the firm’s fee earners, as well as undertaking general firm related administrative tasks.

Fee earner support duties will include audio transcription, formatting/amending documents, preparing bundles, filing, photocopying/scanning, collating information and research, opening client files and carrying out anti-money laundering checks, diary management and telephone contact with clients.

Administrative tasks will include, among other duties, answering the telephone, ordering stationery, assisting with marketing campaigns, credit control and dealing with suppliers.

We would also like the successful candidate to undertake legal cashier training, so that we have support available for our existing legal cashier team. Appropriate training shall be provided.

Salary: £20-25k depending on experience Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30
